Ingredients

For the Donuts

  • 1 1/4 Cup Milk Warmed
  • 2 1/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast
  • 2 Eggs
  • 8 Tbsp Butter Melted
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 3/4 Cup All-purpose Flour

For the Glaze

  • 4 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2/3 Cup Milk
  • Pinch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Frying

  • 5 Cups oil for frying

Instructions

  • Warm the milk and add the yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, mix the yeast, butter, eggs, sugar, and salt. Gradually add the flour and knead until smooth.
  • Let the dough rise for 45 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough to ½ inch thickness and cut into donuts. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Heat oil to 350°F and fry the donuts until golden brown on each side.
  • Mix glaze ingredients in a bowl and dip the warm donuts in the glaze. Let set on a wire rack.
