Ingredients

  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/2 cup half and half

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the 6 oz of semi-sweet chocolate. Stir constantly to prevent burning. You want the chocolate to melt smoothly.
  • Once the chocolate is melted, add in ¼ cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of butter. Stir until everything is combined and the sugar has dissolved.
  • Slowly pour in ½ cup of half and half while stirring constantly. This will help the sauce get that rich, creamy texture we all love. Continue to stir for about 2-3 minutes as the mixture thickens.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
  • Pour the hot fudge over your favorite dessert or let it cool for a few minutes to thicken even more.
