Sausage Dip
This easy, cheesy sausage dip is perfect for parties or a quick snack. Made with savory sausage, cream cheese, and diced tomatoes with green chilies, it's always a crowd favorite!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground sausage mild or spicy
- 10 oz diced tomatoes with green chilies canned
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- chopped green onions optional
- jalapenos optional
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook 1 lb of sausage over medium heat until it's browned and fully cooked. Break the sausage into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess grease.
- Once the sausage is browned, stir in 1 can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (do not drain) and 1 block of cream cheese. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and incorporated into the mixture.
- Lower the heat and stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the dip is creamy and smooth.
- Transfer the dip to a serving dish or keep it warm in a slow cooker on low heat. If you want, garnish the top with some chopped green onions or jalapeños.
