Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease an 8-inch square or round baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg, then mix in the milk and melted butter.
