Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions while you prepare the batter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups of flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 ¾ cups of milk, ⅓ cup oil, and 2 eggs until well combined.
  • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, whisking until just combined.
  • Ladle the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, spreading it evenly if needed. Close the lid and cook according to the waffle iron’s instructions, typically about 4-5 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  • Carefully remove the waffle from the iron and serve immediately with your favorite toppings like butter, maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
